Join us in supporting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and community enrichment for all.

Our Story
On August 4th, 2022, Mary Klopfstein Lenning met with several theatre enthusiasts living in Harrison, Ohio. She asked if there was an interest in starting an Arts/Cultural center in Harrison. The response was a resounding YES. The following month, an invitation went out to the community to attend a meeting, and the response was positive and supportive. Planning began and Harrison Center for the Arts became a non-profit organization in January 2023. On August 4th, 2023, exactly one year from the initial meeting, Harrison Center for the Arts produced their first production, Tuck Everlasting. Since then, HCA has produced American Christmas Carol, a Holiday tradition set in 1944 Midwest America, an original musical version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the musicals Bright Star and Pippin.
HCA performs in the event center at Broadway Commons, 803 E. Broadway St. Harrison, Ohio 45030. Although the building may not be regarded as a historic structure, it is fondly remembered as the old Harrison Skating Rink.
